O nehmt es mir nicht übel,
Wenn über euch ich lache,
Weil ich einmal muß lachen!
Ich lach' um nur zu lachen,
Selbst über mich nicht minder
Als über euch ich lache;
Und nehm' es euch nicht übel,
Daß über mich ihr lachet,
Wenn ihr nicht seid im Stande
Selbst über euch zu lachen.
